There is no update on the girls adoption. I have taken rest in the Lord knowing that even though it doesn't seem like there is anything moving God is working. My heart has been heavy for the people of the community, the lost and the hurting. I want to be used by God to reach out and touch them with God's love. To let them know that they are not forgotten and that God loves them. We are doing Christmas a little different this year. We are going to focus on giving to others. We are not seeking to get but to give. I want my children to truly understand what Christmas is really about. I want them to focus on the needs of others and giving of themselves. There are so many exciting things going on right now. Two of my children and my husband are in a play at the local theater. My husband and I are in the choir at church and are working on the Christmas show called "Believe" the children are doing their part in it as well. Today I am digging out the Christmas decorations with the children. We have some classes that we need to take as well. They are very long and boring and I really dislike taking them but it is a must. I am trying to be faithful and begin where I am at and use what I have got and do what I can. It takes great focus sometimes to accomplish this. But with God I can do all things. I am sorry if it seems like this was a jumbled mess of thoughts there is just so much swirling around up there!:) God is good and I am so excited for the days a head. I pray that today you are blessed beyond your measure!

Meditating on Love
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son. For God so loved the world..... think about that for one moment. God so loved the world that He gave his only Son so that none may perish. As I meditate on that verse I am consumed by thoughts and feelings that I don't can't fully express. I think if Jesus is in me and He so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, am I loving His people enough? Am I reaching out enough to those that I come into contact with? Am I being the salt that He requires me to be? I guess the real question that I am getting at is, am I being all the God wants me to be? Am I doing the very best at what I put my hand to? Am I really doing all that I could be doing and doing what He is asking of me? I think probably not. I am in the place that He moved me to but I am not living up to my full potential. I am not laying it all out there before my heavenly Father, loving with reckless abandon. I need to get out and minister more. Not just to the needy and the broken but to every one that God brings into my life and my days. I want to love the way that God loved me and loves me. He gave me His only Son that I may have eternal life with Him. Nothing compares to that and I can never repay Him for that and I am certainly not going to try. It was a gift, a gift of deep and true undefiled love. But I am certainly going to try to be and do what He has planned for me. I was having a conversation with my husband the other day while we were driving in the car, I asked him if he thought that we were finished adopting. He response "yes I am done" and my reply "yea me too". Then it hit me! "Did you ask me?" Huh? I totally made that assumption that because things were a little tough and we were battle scarred and tired that we were done with what God called us to do. So I repented and told God that I wanted whatever He wanted for me. That if adopting more children is what He wanted then that is what I wanted too. So many times I have my own agenda and I push God right out of the situation. With my agenda I give Him less authority in my life. I don't want to miss out on one thing that God has for me EVER. I want my life to be a living testimony to Him. I want to be faithful in the little and big things. Children are a blessing from the Lord and just because I have battle fatigue from our adoption does not give me the right to decide our family is big enough or that I have done enough. Do you ever notice that God has more faith in you than you do? I know that is true for me. I need to change my "stinkin' thinkin' " as my Pastor says. Which by the way can I just say that I am so thankful for my Pastor , his wife and their children. They are beyond amazing and such a blessing! They love the Lord with all their hearts and I am honored to call them me my spiritual parents and friends. There is a cause and it is love. I want God's love to poured out through me. The enemy has tried so many times to destroy and devastate but the buck stops here! Today, it is on and he is going down! He has no place in my life or the life of my family. I pray that today you lay back against your Heavenly Father and just breathe. He loves you my friend and He waits for you. I pray that today you feel His love.

Please join us..
In prayer for our girls. We are telling our mountain how big our God is and we would love to have you join us! We are at the end of our adoption process waiting on the passports and visas for the girls. However DNA testing has been requested which most of you probably know. However, testing in Haiti is closed right now. It is closed because USCIS is wanting testing to be done right there at the Embassy. Well that is great and all except there are no procedures in place for that to happen at this time so they closed the testing. Thanks to so many of you being obedient to God's call, DNA is paid for and waiting for the testing to be opened again. We have made some phone calls and believe that they will be fruitful. I am excited to see what God is going to do. So please join us in telling this mountain how big our God is and stand in faith with us. Thank you all so much for standing with us and supporting us.

My thankful heart..
With Thanksgiving drawing near I am thinking more and more on all the things that I am grateful for. There are so many! But mostly I am grateful that God loved me first. From the very beginning of time He has loved me. He sent His only Son to die just for me that I may be clothed in His righteousness, redeemed and sanctified. Sometimes my focus gets away from that and God still loves me and is still so patient with me. I am thankful that He has already paid the price for all that I have need of be it physical healing, emotional healing, victory, strength, comfort, whatever the need, He has already made way for me to have it. I am thankful that through my narrow mindedness that He has the patience to wait for me and to guide me. I am thankful for all the earthly blessings that He has given to me as well. My family and friends making the top of the list. I am also thankful that He will never allow me to stay in the same place. He is always wanting me to grow and is pruning me as I do. I am thankful that His ever watchful eye is on me, making sure that nothing that may crush me is laid upon me. I am thankful that I am the apple of His eye, the one that he sent His only Son to die for. He did this for you too my friend! If you don't know Jesus Christ the Lord of Lords please contact me and I will tell you all that I know to be true! I pray that this thanksgiving you will reach out to tell others about the hope that you have!

Adoption Fees and our girls
I am really beginning to feel like we need to really work hard on getting these remaining fees paid off. But I think I expect it to be here all at once. I feel like God is gently reminding me that He shows His love for us in the little things too. That even if the monies trickle in (which I am sooo grateful for) it is His perfect plan. But the thoughts of, they will be ready to come home and they will be held there because of the money that we still owe, swirls through my head daily. I know with these thoughts I am saying that I cannot trust God at His word. Why is this so hard for me. I must tell you that in my flesh the wait is getting harder and yet I am filled with God's peace. I say that and it makes no sense to me. If I am filled with God's peace then why is the wait getting harder? Maybe it is the excitement of them coming home and being here everyday! I am putting my hand to the plow everyday and now I must trust God to bless the work of my hands.

Saintania and Eveline
Thank you Angie for the pictures. It seems that Eveline likes to hide when people are snapping pictures so I am glad that Angie captured this one. These girls are so much fun to be around! Last time we were there they kept Bill and I laughing. Well really we all laughed together. I miss them so much and I am doing my best to rest in the Lord over this whole DNA situation. For those of you who are not aware we need this test and right now it is closed in Haiti because they have moved it to the Embassy and there are currently no procedures in place for this there so they are making them. I pray that they are home before Christmas. What a Christmas gift that would be! This journey has been so very long for us and I am so ready for a new chapter in this journey to begin. I pray that God hears my cry and knows my heart for they are both screaming, please I want my girls to come home! I have to die to my flesh all the time and God is so good!

Saintania
Thank you Kristi for these pictures.
I know how much the girls help out with the younger children at the orphanage and I know that they do it because they love it not because they have to. I have two little ones here at home and I am often thinking about how that will go with the girls. I want them to bond and attach to each other but I don't want them to take on a caregiver role. However my other children tend to the needs of the little ones when I need a helping hand. So I don't want to say no to the girls about helping with the little ones when the others are helping. But I want the girls to be cared for and not have to worry about meeting someone elses needs but instead getting their needs met. I want them to focus on the parent child relationship. I want to handle this is a way that helps the girls. I want them to feel a part of this family. It feels to me at this time a delicate balance that I am not sure how to handle. Maybe I think to much about it. I welcome any wisdom that any one has to offer. Maybe I need to let the girls tell me. Not in with their words but with their behavior. I must say though Saintania is so beautiful on the outside and the inside!

Honored and Humbled to adopt
As I watch God's hand paint the picture of our adoption journey, I am in awe of the beauty of which He has revealed to me and allowed me to bear witness to. It stirs the very depths of me that He has chosen me to be the mother of these beautiful girls. I fell in love with them the very first time that I saw them. I am honored to be used by God to teach them and mentor them in the ways of God. I am humble to have been chosen to bear witness to the great things that I know that they are destined to do for God. There spirits are gentle and there will to be victorious is strong. I admire them. Through all that they have conquered and overcome in there lives they have smiles that shout, from the mountain tops, God's goodness and faithfulness. The are the very picture of strength and love. They have touched so many lives and ministered to so many. As they come to a place in their lives that God wants to write a new chapter for them I am blessed to be a part of it. I am so excited to watch God grow them and bring them to a place of new beginnings. As the chapter begins to unfold I get to watch it. How awesome is that?! How incredibly exciting!

The past two weeks...
I don't think that I can put into words the things that I have been feeling these past few weeks. But I do know that God is moving and He is teaching. There is something to be said about laying yourself out before God, making yourself vulnerable to God and to people. I have had such great support here in the blog and FB world, however I have never made myself so vulnerable before. I am not one to step up and say out loud to others that I am in need. This is something that God has been working on, in me. I am very much a giver, I would rather give than receive any day of the week. Receiving made me feel... well vulnerable, and I wasn't ready to feel that way. Telling my need to someone that I know really well I could do, but telling people that I really don't know, well I had a hard time with. But God has been stretching me and teaching me and for that I am ever so grateful. The fact is that God uses His people to touch His people and if you don't allow yourself to be vulnerable enough to share with others then how are others supposed to know that you are in need? Yes I believe that God can send someone to do something for someone else without them knowing why. But I also think that there comes a point where God wants you to speak your need out loud. Jesus always asked people that came to Him "What do you want me to do for you?". He already knew what their need was, so I think it is for our own good that He requests that we become vulnerable. I pray that this ministers to someone and through my testimony someone else will learn and grow. Thank you all who have been so kind and gentle with my heart as I have laid it out before you. I pray that God blesses all who have prayed, cheered us on, encouraged us, held us while we have cried, and provided financially to our girls. I have never been so humbled.

I am going to try to do more than one auction at a time. We just really need to get the money for the DNA testing! **So when you e-mail me with your bids please tell which item that you are wanting to bid on.** Please read the whole post as there is also a raffle going on with a chance to win free entries!
